iStockphoto was the first stock photo agency to introduce the credit buying option for stock photo buying over a decade ago. The credit buying option provided discounted photos, an easy method for stock buying purchases and an easy way to manage your account with iStockphoto.
iStock has just introduced another direct buying process for stock photo buyers. iStockphoto members can not buy individual photos directly without credits or credit packages. This new purchasing option for iStock members just made buying a single photo or a group of photos an easy online transaction using a credit card.
As you can see from the screenshot above, a photo in a web resolution will cost you about $2.00.
Use a credit card or credits when buying photos on iStock
If you are new to iStock or have run out of credits in your iStock account, you can now purchase photos directly through your credit card on iStock. iStockphoto has added a new buying option for their members as an additional choice. For credit users on iStock you can still use your existing credits or opt out for the credit card purchase of photos directly.
How the new check out process works on iStockphoto
When you move photos to your shopping cart on iStock, you will be provided with two payment options, credit card option where you see the dollar value of the each photo that you are purchasing or the credit system where you can purchase your photos with your existing or newly purchased iStock credits. The choice is yours, and the shopping cart provides both options.
Why iStockphoto added new buying options
The General Manager of E-commerence at iStockphoto introduced the new buying option in direct response to customer requests. With stock photo needs becoming more demanding on a daily basis, the option to buy on the fly with a credit card when an image was needed immediately was an option that iStockphoto users requested. Well, they have it and when you need to buy instantly you can.
