What's the app about?
With Microstockr app photographers can check out their earnings wherever they are. They can access their sales statistics for currently 12 microstock agencies. Of course the most important ones are amongst them, such as iStockphoto, Dreamstime, Shutterstock, Fotolia and 123rf.
At the moment, the app is available for iOS, only. But its developer Paul Pirosca confirmed that it'll be offered for Android, soon. Work is still in progress, there.
How to use MicroStockr app
I bought this app right away, when it was released, and it must admit I use it every day. Disclaimer: With this App you will check your earnings everywhere and anytime – beware of your girlfriend. The app's usability is very comfortable, the user interface being clearly arranged.
Please find some screenshots below. The dashboard shows the photographers' earnings per agency. Additionally, a small bubble above them indicates the daily proportion. Right down at the bottom you can find the total earnings of your photo sales with all these microstock agencies.
Which pictures did I sell?
Of course, I can answer this question with the MicroStockr app. Simply go to the respective agency profile, and you'll get an overview of your latest sales and earnings. In this case, you get the Dreamstime sales.
What happens to my credentials?
For most photographers, their microstock agency credentials are almost as “holy” as the ones for their online banking. Concerning the safety of the login procedure, software developer Paul Pirosca states that the app connects directly to the photo agencies using scraping and agency APIs.

Your encrypted login credentials will be only on your iOS device. He don't save your login data on any external server or service.
At least, that's safe enough for me. Furthermore, Mr Pirosca also uses the app for tracking his own photo sales. But let's ask him directly.

Hello Paul, please tell us why you did develop the MicroStockr App.

I am a contributor to the sites that you see in the application so I needed a tool to track down my sales and not to login every time when I want to check stats to each site.
Where do you come from?
I am from Romania.
Do you live from your microstock earnings?
I am a stock photographer (Dreamstime Portfolio), but this is not my main job. I'm a project manager to a software company where we build software in a lot of different technologies. This little app was my personal challenge.
Tell us something about the safety of your App.
The application is communicating with agencies just like a web browser and tracks down relevant information. We use API for the agencies that provide them.

I really like the app! While I have also an ipad,
1. my nexus smartphone comes with android,
2. as shutterstock and istockphoto and fotolia are supported, all my favourites are already included,
3. I need the app coz I want to save time, too (just as Paul) when checking stats regularly
