Stock photographer co-op Stocksy United is going to celebrate their first anniversary on March 25.
For the celebration, Stocksy has decided to invite the public to vote on their first Annual Awards to contributing photographers. It has nominated about 100 of their photographers in 20 categories, ranging from landscapes through lifestyle and commercial photography. Co-op photographer directors Rob Sylvan and Sean Locke put up an effort with the editing team to select candidates from the broad range of topics covered by Stocksy.
Vote now!
Brianna Wettlaufer, heading the creative team at Stocksy United, says that the awards are meant to invite “everyone to be able to show their appreciation and support of the photographers.” The voting is open to the public and lasts until March 16. The winners will be announced in Stocksy's first anniversary online on March 25, 2014.
Stocksy United was co-founded and is led by microstock inventor Bruce Livingstone and grew to represent 500 photographers in its first year. Its claim is to offer a place for sustainable careers for photographers by offering a 50% share in all royalties and distribution of 90% of its profits back to the contributors.
