Since 2008, MicroStockGroup owner Tyler Olson has published an independent annual survey for microstock contributors. The results are showing major trends across stock photo agencies that also interested buyers can study to learn more about the kind of people they buy artwork from.

First results of the current survey can be expected in February with statistics generated from several hundreds of photographers, illustrators and videographers from around the globe selling their media through a variety of agencies like Shutterstock, iStock, Fotolia or Stocksy United.

The results are very interesting, check out the results of 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 and 2008.
