Adobe has rolled out the newest version of Adobe Express that now integrates generative AI model capabilities from Adobe Firefly, the company’s family of generative AI models that are slowly but steadily being integrated into their software tools.

The new, AI-first Adobe Express is now available for all and includes text-to-image generation, text effects, automatic background removal, and more, all with the user-friendly concept that characterizes this app.

See how it works in this video below:

AI-First Adobe Express: Design Better, Faster, and Easier

While the initial generative AI functionality started coming to Adobe Express in June, now the firm has officially launched the latest version of the app with beta features from Adobe Firefly, available for all on the website and the desktop app –mobile support is said to be coming soon.

Firefly’s functionality included in Express consists of text-to-image generation and text effect generation that supports prompts in over 100 languages and efficient, automatic photo edits like background removal and complex designs made easy, such as animating a character using just audio as a reference, converting images into GIFs, or editing PDFs.

The app is now redesigned as an all-in-one editor for images, videos, audio, and more. And it includes other AI-driven and useful features like suggesting the perfect templates and visual content for your intended project, for example.

The integration of generative AI into Express intends to help users bring their creative projects to life regardless of their skill level, improve workflows for teams, and enhance visual design results across the board.

AI-Powered Design for Everyone

All these new functions are available on the free-for-all version of Adobe Express, but users of Adobe Creative Cloud get instant access to Express Premium –with bonus features and benefits– with their membership. If you wish to subscribe to Express Premium only, the price is $9.99 per month. For larger teams, there is Express Enterprise with extra benefits. For more details, check our Adobe Express review.

According to Adobe, Express is useful for users across the skill and intent spectrum. For Creative Cloud users, the full integration of Express with other popular Adobe tools like Photoshop or Acrobat enables them to collaborate in real-time and to add visual elements to elevate any document they wish quickly, among other possibilities. For Enterprise customers, Adobe Express is ideal for bringing marketers and creatives together and letting teams collaborate in a simple and well-oiled workflow.

Overall, the company conceives Adobe Express as the perfect solution for small and medium-sized businesses, solopreneurs, social media influencers, students, freelance professionals, and more to manage, create and share stunning designs all from one place.

If it sounds familiar, it’s because it’s a very similar concept to Canva, the pioneer in user-friendly design tools capable of producing high-quality graphics, which also has state-of-the-art AI features of its own.
