DMLA Conference 2022: Speakers Revealed

This year, the 27th International Digital Media Licensing Conference is titled “Our Expanding Impact”, and centers on innovative technologies in visual content, and the challenges they present for the digital media business.

First-Class Keynote Speakers

We had already learned that legendary photographer and author Rick Smolan was going to lead a keynote. Today we know such a keynote will happen on day 2 of the event and will see Smolan sharing insights from his latest book “The Good Fight”.

We now also know that Cristie Zellmer, director of Business Affairs in Meta, will lead the first keynote focused on the Metaverse, and Director of U.S. Copyright Office Shira Perlmutter will offer the third and last keynote of the conference where she will share her perspective on copyright today.

But what I am most excited to share with you today, is that I will also be a speaker at the conference. I, Amos Struck, will be part of a panel named “The Big Disruptors: AI, Free & More”, where we are going to discuss the latest technologies and trends that are impacting the industry today.

This panel will take place on the first day of the conference, and I really hope to see you all there!

More High-Profile Speakers

The line-up of speakers for this year’s gathering is really impressive, with companies of the size of Adobe, Google, Microsoft, Getty, Shutterstock, and more being represented, and experts from all avenues such as Michael Osterreider (CEO at vAIsual) and Paul Melcher from Melcher System integrating the list.

Must-See Panels: All of Today’s Industry Challenges Covered

The panels are also very well-thought and cover a wide range of current discussions in the industry. From the dangers in today’s photojournalism and the monetization of content through NFTs to hot topics in legal, what’s trending in stock footage, or how to monetize your collections as datasets. There is even a buyers’ panel!

From the welcome by DMLA’s Executive Director Elaine Vitt –the organizer of this event– on Monday, October 24th, all the way to the Conference Finale that closes the gathering on Thursday, October 27th, attendees will have the chance to explore, learn and get valuable takeaway information about all the most important topics and issues that are shaking the digital media market today, and shaping up the landscape for the industry’s future.

Plus, there are spaces for meeting the speakers and meeting members, sharing your opinions, and overall network.

The content of the conference will be shared online as well, for those who wish to attend virtually.
