iStock Editor: Quick Edits, Simple Design
The new editing tool by iStock is very simple to use, with a straight-forward interface that make it impossible to go wrong. It's a 3-step editing system:
- Choose an image
- Edit it
- Download it
It is accessible from any image in iStock's library: all image pages now include an “Edit this image” button that opens the watermarked preview in the iStock Editor, ready to be customized.
Once in the editor board, you have essential editing functions to apply. iStock Editor lets you:
- Crop and resize: it includes useful preset sizes, including horizontal, vertical and square orientation, plus standard sizes for popular social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest
- Add text: the editor gives you 15 different fonts to choose from, with options for size, color, alignment, style and rotation
- Filter: you have 11 filters to change the aspect of the images, including popular Instagram-like ones such as Sepia or Warmer styles
- Add logos or graphics: you can also integrate your personal logos or graphic elements, with a very simple uploading feature
Like this, you can create an image to use in your company's Facebook and Twitter, or a cool graphic to boost up your Instagram account, in a few simple clicks! You initially work with the watermarked version of the image, but as soon as you're happy with the design you can hit the download button and the final, unwatermarked and edited photo will be right there for you.
And it's free! While iStock images are of course paid (yet very affordable!), the iStock Editor tool is available at no added cost. To have a taste of what you can achieve with this tool without spending, try the iStock Editor for free here!
